French spelling has its own logic once you learn the patterns β many final consonants are silent (bonjour → sounds like "bohn-ZHOOR", not "bohn-ZHOOR-t"), and the letter H is always silent. We'll unpack this properly in the dedicated pronunciation chapter (Chapter 4) β for now, just listen and repeat.
